with extra added vitamins and minerals.
Alfalfa blend is a perfect grain-free roughage mix for good condition and health.

Main properties

• low sugar and starch content
• high fibre content, high crude fibre content
• recommended in case of hypersensitivity to protein
• ensures a calm mind and control
• also suitable for ponies and more robust breeds of horses

Application

• for all horse breeds, for any age
• as a valuable supplement to hay, haylage and grazing
• as a replacement for concentrated feed containing cereals
• ideal in combination with Natural base or Pre-Activ

Special recommendations:

pour 1 part feed with 1 part water and soak for 15 min before feeding. This prevents the risk of oesophageal blockage in horses that do not chew their feed sufficiently, in horses with poor teeth and in horses that eat their feed too quickly, resulting in insufficient salivation. If the feed is made wet, the stalks and leaf parts absorb water again and this also increases the palatability of the feed.

Always provide plenty of clean drinking water at the feeding place.

• Sport: 200-300 g per 100 kg body weight per day, supplemented with 20% Pre-Active or Natural base
• Young horses: 300 g per 100 kg body weight per day, supplemented with 20% Pre-Active or Natural base
• Resting horses: 100-200 g per 100 kg body weight per day, supplemented additionally with the same amount of Pre-Active or Natural base

The amount of feed should be adjusted to the season, age and daily energy requirements of your horse or pony.
